Copy and Creative Writer

My name is Aoife and I'm an Irish writer, currently based in Vancouver. I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert, as happy alone with a book as I am surrounded by crowds of people in a pub or at a gig. From working on a farm in Australia to a florist's assistant in Vancouver, my life so far has been one of many jobs and travels. But in the background of these experiences I have always made time for my true passion, which is writing. My areas of interest (in life & in writing) are music, books, culture, travel, and wellness. These are the things, along with my family and friends and pet cat Butters, that bring me joy and guide me through this colourfully chaotic thing we call life.

I became a part of The X Collective through my involvement with Oíche. I've collaborated with Emily to create web content such as blog posts and copy for the website. I have also worked with X Collective artists such as ZAPHO and ELKAE for whom I have written press releases and reviews. I can contribute to The X Collective by providing artists with creative writing pieces to complement their music and to use on their social media platforms. I can also help with Spotify bios, website content, press releases, copywriting and promotion.

The X Collective is a much needed platform on which talented Irish creatives of many artforms can find strength in community. It's a way for us all to join forces and build a bigger presence while we share our art with the world. It's a celebration of the music community and all the little pockets of people within it.
